Viola Watroba is the creator and careful steward of the Charlotte Universe, a warm, lyrical world where neighborhood legends, gentle humor, and everyday wonder come together to help children enjoy a Charlotte inspired set of stories that feel safe, seen, and deeply loved.

A registered nurse with a background in holistic, client‑centered care, Viola brings the same nurturing presence to her storytelling that she brings to her work with families. Her books are rooted in emotional safety, kindness, and the belief that childhood deserves both honesty and magic.

The Charlotte Universe began as a simple idea: What if a dog could help children understand the world by showing them how to be brave, curious, and connected to their community?

From that seed grew a rich neighborhood of recurring characters—Dogs: Tucker, Sylvan, and Grunt, Gemini the Cat, the White Squirrel, Taja, and a few extraordinary humans; "The Cast", an imaginary connection to The Magic Kingdom, "The Crew" and Charlotte’s first family—each one adding depth, humor, and heart to Charlotte’s adventures.
